Our last day!

Posted by on November 11, 2012

This post is a very sad one!  We have had such an incredible journey and we are glad to have you read our blog and experience the trip with us even if it is through a computer screen.  It was fun to keep the blog updated with all the happenings in our lives for the last week.

I wanted to show a photo of Scott cooking us dinner last night.  It was tasty!

We woke up this morning after staying in the Orange Grove RV Park.  We thought about staying in Barstow or Mojave but I told Scott I would like to drive a little further so we wouldn’t have to be driving most of the next day. We decided to push on to Bakersfield and we are glad we did.  Orange Grove RV Park is nestled in, imagine that, an orange grove.  They have the orange trees lined up and in between the groves are where the RVs park.  Nothing like having your orange farm and making another business out of it also.  It was absolutely beautiful.

They even have grapes…

As we were putting everything away and getting ready to hit the road for home, we noticed a frog jumped off of the slide out.  This does not look like a California frog, but yet a Florida frog.  We think this little buddy traveled all the way from Florida with us.

After packing up and getting on the road and making a last and final stop at Camping World, we were on our way home.  As you can see, Scott is quite comfortable in the captain’s chair with the cruise control on.

This trip was absolutely amazing..  Seeing family, seeing friends, meeting new friends along the way, seeing beautiful country, letting the wind blow through our hair, smelling the smells, enjoying the overall journey together was a memory that will last a lifetime and will never be forgotten.  We are very fortunate to have had this opportunity to enjoy the little and big things that life has to offer.  Like our quote says on the front page of our website, “twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.  So throw off the bowlines.  Sail away from the safe harbor… Explore. Dream. Discover!” – Mark Twain

See you on the next journey!

Scott and Jess

Thanks for letting us take part in your journey (without all of the long hours of driving)! 🙂 Can’t wait to see what adventure is next for the Fockers!
