Ubud, Bali – Whitewater Rafting (Day 3)

For our final day in Bali we decided to take a rafting trip down the Ayung river.  The Ayung is the longest river in Bali and rafting is a perfect way to enjoy some of the steep cliffs and jungles that it travels by.  The trip is a mix of a lazy scenic tour along with small whitewater rapids, waterfalls and beaches with vendors.  You can stop at several places along the way for food or drinks from locals that have set up makeshift stores.  There is some wildlife along the way including monkeys that keep an eye on you as you paddle by.  After rafting we headed into Ubud for some art shopping and final sightseeing as we knew our incredible adventure was going to be over in less than 24 hours.
