We have had some unseasonably warm weather this last week so we explored where we could go to put our toes in the sand and enjoy the ocean. We found a state park just south of Santa Cruz, the Sea Cliff State Beach with an available spot to park right on the beach and the forecast was calling for mid 70’s, just amazing for mid-winter in NorCal. We could only reserve space for Saturday night so we decided to try a place called Santa Cruz Redwoods RV Resort for Friday before moving along. It is just outside of a little town called Felton and located right on the San Lorenzo river in the Henry Cowell State Park. We spent the morning wading in the river and enjoying the redwoods.
Both places turned out to be excellent however there is something about being right on the beach that makes life just so good. Here is a view from the windshield upon our arrival:
It was a perfect afternoon to take the Dobermans out for a walk…
Enjoying life! Love is so beautiful.
Sunset on the beach, I love this!
Sunday morning started out with a little fog. This is how they stack everyone in for the oceanfront view, not bad considering.
The sun broke through and we were rewarded with another amazing walk!
I could sit here for a week…
Sadly we had to head home but not before a stop at a local resort for lunch.
The dogs were well exercised and ready for a long nap.
