Columbia State Park – 49’er RV Park

Posted by on May 5, 2014

Just a short drive from the house is the Columbia State Park and a very friendly place to park the RV for the weekend, the 49’er RV Park. We took off Friday after work and we were hooked up and enjoying the evening in just 1.5 hours.

Across the road from the park is state land to let the doggies play and we can do some exploring too. There is a water canal that was great to cool off in, some big meadows and some very old buildings:

We took a nice walk to Columbia and enjoyed some of the history from over 150 years ago:

After a day with a lot of walking it was time to relax and have a good old BBQ dinner:

Some singing around the campfire capped off the night:

One more day of hiking and then time to head back home. The doggies are exhausted.
